The Hudson Youth Cross Country program was formed in September of 2003 to allow the youth of Hudson to experience
the excitement and positive life experiences that the sport of cross country can bring. The program was founded by Doug
Hartline, Amy Kline and Dan Scourfield as a vehicle for their own daughters to run. The first team consisted of 13 runners
and traveled to Dayton, Ohio for the 2003 AAU Cross Country National Championships where the Hudson bantam girls
team finished 7th in the country. Each year the program has continued to grow where over 80 runners are part of the
program in 2009.
Each year, the program has represented the City of Hudson at a National Championship Meet.
